Tech Coaching: Beginner's Blog

With the Beginner's Blog package, you are involved in the creation of your blog site from the very beginning. You will see how to create an account, create your basic site and configure some settings. The benefit to this package is that you gain more knowledge and increase your chances of being able to create additional similar sites on your own in the future.

Who is this package for?

This is perfect for individuals, entrepreneurs, small businesses, non-profit organizations, teams and clubs who like to know how things work and/or want to know how to create similar sites on their own in the future.

In a hurry? No problem. Just ask for the Express option. Most of the work will be completed by us before your one-on-one session with your Tech Coach. The benefit to this package is that it takes less of your time by focusing primarily on what you really need to know in order to manage your site on your own.

Prerequisites

You will need the following:

• Knowledge of how to use a wordprocessor
• Knowledge of how to use a web browser

System Requirements

• Access to a working computer with a high-speed Internet connection
• One of the following web browsers: Firefox 2.0 or later, Internet Explorer 6.0 or later, Safari 2.0 or later, Chrome 2.0 or later
• The latest version of Adobe Flash Player

Pre-session Task

Before our session together, you will need to complete and return a copy of our Clarity Guide Questionnaire at least 48 hours before the session. This guide, available in Microsoft Word format, will be emailed to you shortly after we receive your payment. To complete this document you will need to have Microsoft Word or OpenOffice Writer installed on your computer.

Options

The following options are available at the time of purchase for this package.

Deluxe Training Option

Get an additional two hours of one-on-one training with your tech coach for the price of one hour and get answers to your questions or add features to your site. That's 50% off our regular price.

Custom Designer Option

Personalize your website with a professional appearance. This option includes:

• Personalized banner at the top of each page which can include your picture, your logo and a background image. Note that you must provide an electronic copy of each image.
• Assistance in registering your personalized Domain Name (website address)
• One personalized email address @ your domain name
• Customization of up to three colours on your website. For example, text colour, background colour and colour of the headers.

Of course you can always choose to purchase both options as many of our clients do.
