Overcoming technology challenges for entrepreneurs and professionals

Is technology preventing you from taking advantage of the tools that will help your business?

Virtual assistant

Some of the things you might want to do for your business require knowing how to harness the power of computer technology. You might have always wanted to learn how to make the most of your smartphone, create a website, arrange for and schedule a conference bridge, create and publish a newsletter, maintain an email list that people can unsubscribe and more. If any of this seems to be overwhelming to you, you aren't alone and you don't need to go out and take computer courses.

There is actually a whole industry out there available to help you. They are called Virtual Assistance (also known as VA's) and the best part is that they don't cost thousands of dollars. As I write this, the going rate is typically between $25 and $50 per hour and usually requires a 5 to 10-hour retainer per month.

These people can do all kinds of cool things for you using technology such as:

  • Creating and maintaining your website.
  • Manage the scheduling of resources such as conference lines.
  • Publishing your newsletter. Some will even write the articles for you.
  • Managing mailing and subscription lists.
  • Create your blog
  • Setup an online shopping cart and credit card processing
  • Grow your client base
  • Create eBooks and audiobooks
  • Creating letters
  • Virtual receptionist to answer your phone
  • Sending faxes
  • Graphic design and desktop publishing
  • Proofreading
  • Respond to emails
  • Create PowerPoint presentation
  • And more...

Not only can these folks help you deal with technology, they can help you accomplish more. As a friend once told me, you always end up paying. Either you pay in loss of productivity and do it yourself, or you pay someone else to do it. Is your time worth more than $25-$50 per hour as a business professional?

Virtual assistants provide you with a solution which allows you to stop focusing on the technology and start focusing on what you love to do best - helping people and businesses.

About the only thing they can't do is make your coffee. But it wouldn't surprise me if they could figure out how to have it delivered to you.

Hope you find this information useful.
